Basic Sewing Curriculum/Classes
For our students that want to focus solely on learning to sew on machines, learn to hand sew, and learn how to read and use patterns. This program also includes five levels of instruction.

Our fashion, design, and sewing programs focus on providing the tools for creation and execution. We offer classes and workshops to youth-adults to explore and provide the skills to design and sew.

WINTER CLASSES – YOUTH & TEEN

SESSION 1
Basic Sewing & Fashion Design Levels 1-3
- Students will explore both sewing and fashion design in our classes. Students will construct at least 1 garment in each session. We cannot guarantee the student will finish their project as each student works at their own pace and dexterity and speed differ.
- Students will explore learning to sew on machines, hand sewing techniques, and learn how to read and use patterns. This program includes five levels of instruction.
- Fashion, design, and sewing programs focus on providing the tools for creation and execution. We offer classes and workshops to youth-adults to explore and provide the skills to design and sew.
- Sewing machines and tools will be provided for class. Students are required to bring fabric, notions, and embellishments.

Fashion Design/Study with the Designer
- In this class students will work directly with Designer @skyeaire_official to assist in the design, style, and creation process.
- The pieces created may be shown on spring runways both nationally and internationally. *We cannot guarantee that these designs will make the final fall runway cut.
- Students will explore dying fabric, hand sewing, styling, and co-designing.
- This is not a traditional sewing class and will not end in a take home project for the student.
- No additional fabric or supplies are required.

- Students will explore learning to sew on machines, hand sewing techniques, and learn how to read and use patterns. This program includes five levels of instruction.

Camp Christmas Fashion Show
Youth Designers Ages 7-17!
Factory Fashion is producing a VERY Campy Christmas Fashion Show inside DCPA’s immersive Camp Christmas exhibit at Stanley Marketplace.
Denver Center for Performing Arts presents the season’s quirkiest holiday tradition.
Camp Christmas, is back indoors and returning to its original location, the Stanley Marketplace. We are celebrating November 28, 2023, with a special VERY Camp Christmas REVERSE Fashion Show.
What is Camp Christmas? Handcrafted by Artist and Camp Director Lonnie Hanzon and his band of Denver-based magic makers, Camp Christmas is a dazzling dreamscape. It’s an invitation to come in from the cold and wrap yourself up in the ooey-gooey, eclectic rituals that have brought light to the darkness of winter for thousands of years.
At Camp, you can leave your worries behind, discover your holiday superpower, pay a visit to Santa, and savor craft cocktails from our Base Camp and Fairy Bars. You can wander through a surreal mashup of nostalgic scenes, scratch your head at playful pun trees, and, most importantly, reconnect with the joy of the season.
Why are we calling it a REVERSE fashion show? The “Unway” Runway:
No runway? What? At this fashion show, there will not be a traditional runway!
Youth Designers and models will remain stationary inside their chosen zone and instead, our guests walk! As a guest enters the designer’s “unway/runway” to view the designers’ segment. Models will “walk” a makeshift runway within the zone. Designers and models are encouraged to interact with their guests, take photos, and be fully present and fully themed in their environment.
The Youth Fashion Show will take place from 5-6 PM.
The cost for the class is $20 materials fee.

Drag Queen Program
Make your own mark on drag history. Transform into your beautiful best in Factory Fashion’s Drag Tween/Teen Program. You’ll put your fiercest fashions forward on the catwalk after learning upcycle techniques and corset making. And to complete the lewk, you’ll discover the secrets of make-up application, hair stacking, and the proper care and fitting of wigs. Students will enjoy this program’s immersive elements of creation. Programs are available for youth through adults. Our goal is to be a safe haven for anyone looking to explore and find their first drag family.
